Landmark Survey and Testing Limited is a professional engineering firm focused on providing quality control and quality assurance support to heavy civil construction projects in Northwestern Ontario. Our staff are trained to assist our clients from project planning, through construction, and project closing.

 

We are currently looking to expand our team with the addition of a Material Testing Technician who is interested in working in the construction and mining industries. Majority of the work required by this role will be in a lab on construction and mining sites.

 

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Perform tasks using proper safety procedures

• Read and understand project specifications and engineering drawings

• Ensure equipment, tools and materials are kept in good working condition

• Collect and handle aggregate and soil samples in accordance to applicable specifications

• Maintain collected data and paperwork in an organized fashion

• Behave in a professional and appropriate manner

• Work with minimal supervision

 

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Must be legally able to work in Canada

• Must have a valid G driver's licence

• Understand basic aggregate and soil testing principals

• Comfortable using Microsoft office software

• Attention to detail

• CCIL lab technician or equivalent

• Good written and oral communication skills

• Motivated to complete tasks with minimal supervision

• Able to follow procedural directions
